27,060 as of bedtime tonight. I’ll have to make up the rest of today’s wordcount tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll get all caught up tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some words banked before the holiday, because I have a feeling I won’t get much done on Wednesday and Thursday, since we’re hosting family here for the feast.

Things are rolling along in the plot…still trying to outline the details and get it all laid out.

Now if only my hands and wrists and forearms would cooperate.

I’ve got carpal tunnel and all that – arms go numb at the mid forearm down fingers tingle, hard to make fist – etc. I’ve totally switched to ergonomic keyboards, have one here at home. The one at work is the best though – I do the most of my typing there and its wonderful. You’re actually not supposed to use those keyboard and mouse pad wrist supports because they put pressure on the carpal tunnel in your wrist. This keyboard has you rest on the balls of your hands, and its angled down instead of up so its more natural. Its also feather touch. It has caused ALL of my symptoms to go away. Its wonderful, I highly recommend it, and it really didn’t take long to get used to at all.

And if it’s any consolation, I have a friend who’s been doing Nano for the last several years, and right now she’s *significantly* further behind. She says, “Eh, it’ll be there. I always pull it off.”

I’m sorry about your hands and wrists, though. Try one of those funny little keyboards that Melanie suggests!

Hoping you find some relief from your pain…and that you get the novel knocked out.

Maybe this will provide some extra motivation…

You’ve been included in the newest installment of Surfer’s Paradise!

I hope the link serves you well.

Melanie, thanks for the tip. I’m looking into getting one today. We used to have one, but it went boom and we’ve done without for years now.

Amie, yay! I’m all caught up! I just know how I operate: if I stay reasonably close to that daily goal, I’ll keep on striving for it. If I get too far behind, I’ll get discouraged and quit. I really really want to make it to 50K!

Anthony, thanks for the linkup! I’ll have to explore your site in December, when I have a little more free time!
