When we moved to Jacksonville, we left behind our Satellite service. No more random TV watching for us. We still do turn on the networks if there’s something compelling to watch. (The last thing was the State of the Union address which put me to sleep. Very compelling, eh?)
What I miss watching the most is the Food Network. Good Eats, Rachel Ray, and practically any other show on there. Good Eats is the main one I miss though. If you haven’t seen it, you should! It’s a nice combination of education and science and cooking.
At this house, we always eat dinner at the table, and it’s actually our preference to do so wherever we live. At our last house, we often ate dinner in the living room because the dining room table was usually covered with my Scout stuff or mail. We would sit around the living room to watch Good Eats all together. Even X liked watching it!
So, T for Television, because I miss eating dinner in front of the TV, watching Good Eats while eating my good eats!

In other news, I won an award! Laskigal at From the Cheap Seats has awarded me this, to show some bloggie-love for what I share here. Thanks, Laskigal! If you haven’t read her site, you should. She has great views on everything from being a mom to American Idol to politics (and so much more!). I love reading her blog!
Apparently I’m supposed to pick ten blogs I love to read and pass this on to them. Gotta pass on the love, you know.
So, in no particular order, here they be:
Toforama’s Heaven of Hell –he doesn’t update much, but I love seeing what insights my husband has into the world
Lanie Panie –I love to hear what’s happening in Ohio these days
Love to Learn — I love reading about her Homeschooling adventures!
DrowseyMonkey — Newly discovered, but I’ve really been enjoying her style!
Lori’s Nursing Necklaces –She makes beautiful jewelry and tells their stories on her blog.
(I’m only halfway through! Aaaah!!)
writers, witches and words…oh my! –Reading Annie’s posts stretch my mind and give me new things to ponder, which I love!
The Virtual WordSmith –Lynn has been inspiration and encouragement as I tread the path towards writing professionally. The niche she’s carved is fabulous - I love reading her book reviews, and especially the interviews with authors!
The Undertoad — Amie has a way with words that never fails to make me grin.
the fiber fetishist –Fascination, envy, curiousity…it all makes me love reading her blog
Sense to Save — Another new find, but she’s got good advice and it fits in with the changes Toph and I are making in our life.
So….thanks for the love, Laskigal. Here’s to spreadin’ the love!
