Just a day ago, I was worrying about my parents getting hit by Tropical Storm Fay. Turns out, they escaped with some windy storms. They said it wasn’t too bad.
Now, we’re the ones being targeted by Fay! We’ve got a Hurricane Watch here, schools are closed for the next two days, and we’re pulling together emergency supplies.
Oh yeah, I love living in Florida.

Fay’s arrival was preceded by much fanfare. Businesses closed, appointments were canceled. All we really got was some rain and wind, and a break from the heat. Heck, it was sunny this afternoon!

Sounds like Fay didn’t end up too horrible, as compared to some of the other devastating storms in recent memory. We have been getting a ton of non-Fay related rain up in New England, and I hear this winter is supposed to pretty harsh and snowy. Dang Farmer’s Almanac!
